New Class : Ashtanga with Jenna

I am thrilled to announce a new addition to our timetable: Ashtanga with Jenna. Taking place on the last Saturday of every month at 10 am, this 75-minute class is an exciting opportunity for yogis of all levels to experience the transformative power of Ashtanga yoga.

What is Ashtanga Yoga?

Ashtanga is a dynamic and disciplined style of yoga that combines breath, movement, and focus into a seamless flow. Rooted in tradition, the practice follows a set sequence of postures designed to build strength, flexibility, and mental clarity. Central to Ashtanga is the concept of Tristana – a tri-focus on breath (Ujjayi), energy locks (Bandhas), and gazing points (Drishti) – creating a moving meditation that clears the mind and energises the body.

Jenna’s class will guide you through a modified primary series, offering a welcoming and accessible introduction for beginners while challenging experienced practitioners to deepen their practice.

Meet Jenna

I am honoured to welcome Jenna, a passionate and experienced yoga teacher, to Big Heart Yoga. Jenna brings a wealth of knowledge and a nurturing yet disciplined approach to her teaching. With years of practice and study around the world, Jenna’s expertise in the Ashtanga system is vast.

Jenna’s classes are more than just physical – they’re a journey inward. Her thoughtful guidance helps students connect with their breath, quiet the mind, and discover strength and stillness within. Students frequently praise Jenna for her insightful instruction, warmth, and ability to meet each person where they are.
