Ayurvedic Yoga Massage

I'm thrilled to share that I've just come back from Ibiza where I completed my diploma in Ayurvedic Yoga Massage (levels 1, 2, and 3) with the amazing James Winstanley at the Ayurvedic Yoga Massage Institute! This deeply transformative journey has expanded my understanding of healing and wellness, and I can’t wait to bring this to my clients at Big Heart Yoga Studio very soon.

Ayurvedic Yoga Massage (AYM) is a unique blend of traditional Indian deep tissue massage and assisted yoga stretches, which was developed by Master Kusum Modak. Her work in integrating Ayurvedic principles with body alignment and yogic stretches has brought a new dimension to bodywork, and I extend my deepest gratitude to her for this profound system of healing, and to James for sharing it with me.

During an AYM treatment, you can expect a series of deep tissue massage techniques using hands and feet, combined with passive yoga stretches. The use of Ayurvedic oils and calming breathing techniques enhances the experience, working not only on a physical level but also deeply affecting the mind and energy body.

The benefits of AYM are vast—it can improve flexibility, reduce muscle tension, boost circulation, and help with postural alignment. Many people also find it a powerful way to relax and restore their mental clarity.

Stay tuned, as treatments will soon be available to book at Big Heart Yoga Studio. I'm so excited to share this healing modality with you all!
